American History X

We see that American History X is a movie much different from other ones, but does talk about things that are going on today in this country. There is racism in the US of all types, some that think one race is better than the other and its all because of things that have happened in the past with them or things that have been done to them by other races that makes them hate them.

In this movie there is a main character that has a brother that goes to jail because he killed 2 or three men that are African American. These men were messing up his property and it is right to defend what is yours, but in the way that he did it came to show that he did not only hate men of the African American race, but he was willing to kill them. He could of shot them, but he decides to kill one of them in the worst way possible and that is by making him bight the curve of the side walk and stomping his head into it. There is a scene that grabs my attention though and that is where all the people that believe in white power go to a store that is all employs of a Latino race and pretty much beat the S@%T out of them. There is one part where they grab the Mexican lady and pour milk on her face so that she can be white. The milk would be splashing on anyone's face if that happened to them, but here it looks like silk and it perfectly fits her face to a certain part. It shows this in slow motion and the music and lighting show no dark, its all bright. I think this means that they think it would be a pleasure for the Mexican people to be white because they are talking white people jobs just like they said they were doing in the beginning. That is the main reason they went there in the first place.

This part of the movie gets to me so much because i am Mexican hahaha, but i can understand why they are mad. Some people in the US will higher illegal immigrant, just because they are not born in the US and will accept getting pay they is less the minimum pay. They tell the lady that with the color white she might move up in the world, but being an illegal immigrant will give you a job in no time in many places. Its like sweatshop, but better pay and not having to do as much work. They don't like this because there is some Americans that will work harder for that job, but they cant find a job there because its taken by people that are not American.
