I believe this movie was given the title Good to have the viewers question whether there really is a true "good" person out there. In the beginning of the movie John Halder was your typical good guy. He took care of his family, was a literary professor, and lived an every day normal life. Then as the movie goes on, his morals and thoughts begin to altar towards Nazi beliefs. This is when we begin to question whether or not he is really a "good" person. In my opinion this movie shows that there can be both a good and a bad side to people. There is not one human that does not have a little bad side to them and vice versa. In the eyes of most, the Nazis were terrible people that participated in one of the most horrifying events in world history, but deep down inside i believe some of them if not all of them had a good side to them. I'm sure there were multiple reasons as to thy this film was not sold in the United States. I do believe the main reason they did not sell it in the states was because people may have taken the context of the title in different ways. Some of the population may have seen it as saying the Nazi views were good and that is why the title is Good. I am not sure why, but that is my opinion.
