Armentor Mad White People

While racism can be attributed to a toxic domestic education, heinous social stereotypes, and plain ignorance, one must not lose sight of the socio-economic issues that can propogate racist ideals. The white man's appeal to Neo-Nazism in American History X is a combination of blind hatred and class struggles. The social class most poluted by White Supremacy is the white middle class. This claim can be deffered from one of the many scenes depicting white characters relaying the downfalls of society on the black lower class. It is this notion of the hard working white man whose progress is hindered by the parasitic black man that gives birth to the rampant racism surrounding the Vineyard household. One particular scene that illustrates this claim comes from the immediate interview Derick gives after his father is killed on the job. In the interview, an emotionally charged Derick weepingly rants about how the black lower class is milking the labors of the white middle class, thus invoking their dark stain on society. This leads to a shocked reporter to interogate the young man's rampant tirade and question his ideological flaws. In this ever so public scene (live tv), the uneccessary nature of hate and racism is on blatant display, a performance relaying the strained tensions between class racial progress.
